Product Update Campaign:
NSX Electronic Power Steering

Dear NSX Owner:

We are writing to notify you of a potential problem with your NSX.

What is the problem?

The Electronic Power Steering control unit does a system test during engine start-up. If the steering wheel is moved during this system test, the test is interrupted and the control unit sees it as an error. The EPS indicator on the instrument panel is turned on, and the electronic power steering is disabled. The steering will then feel slightly heavier because of no power assist. This heaviness is noticeable only at parking lot speeds.

What should you do?

Contact your Acura dealer and make an appointment to have your car repaired. They will install an updated EPS control unit. This replacement will be done free of charge. Please plan to leave your car at the dealer for half a day to allow them flexibility in scheduling.
