Symptom Troubleshooting: Bluetooth audio device cannot be paired
Bluetooth audio device cannot be paired
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first.
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
- When six Bluetooth phones are paired, you must delete one phone before you can add another.
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Press the HFL TALK button.
Does the beep sound?
YES - Go to step 3.
NO - Go to step 5.
3. Go to handsfreelink.com and make sure that the phone is approved for the Acura HFL, and if there are any known software bugs or problems.
4. Check the Bluetooth phone by either pairing the client's phone in a known-good vehicle, or pair a known-good phone to the client's vehicle.
Can you pair the Bluetooth phone?
YES - Go to step 5.
NO - Defective Bluetooth device.
5. Connect the HDS to the DLC. Check for HFL DTCs.
Is there any DTCs indicate?
YES - Go to HFL DTC troubleshooting.
NO - Go to symptom troubleshooting Voice control does not work/respond Symptom Troubleshooting or HFL switch test. HFL Switch Test/Replacement
