Connection guidance is not displayed on the screen
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first.
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
- Some mobile phones do not support the function.
- On sone phones, the connection guidance appears only when you pair the phone.
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Check if any modes (AM, FM, CD) other than Bluetooth audio is displayed.
Do the other modes display normally?
YES - Go to step 3.
NO - Substitute a known-good audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio unit. Audio Unit Removal/Installation
3. Press DISC/AUX button to select Bluetooth Audio source.
Does it change to Bluetooth Audio source?
YES - Go to step 4.
NO - Go to symptom troubleshooting for Bluetooth audio cannot communicate. Symptom Troubleshooting
4. Check if the audio system functions normally.
Does the system function normally?
YES - Go to step 5.
NO - Go to symptom troubleshooting for No sound when Bluetooth audio communicate. Symptom Troubleshooting
5. Check the Bluetooth phone by either pairing the client's phone in a known-good vehicle, or pair a known-good phone to the client's vehicle.
Can you pair the Bluetooth phone?
YES - Substitute a known-good HandsFreeLink control unit Service and Repair, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original HandsFreeLink control unit. Service and Repair
NO - Defective Bluetooth phone.
