Symptom Troubleshooting: AcuraLink services do not work
AcuraLink services do not work
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first.
- Check for and resolve all F-CAN and B-CAN DTCs.
- If you can only tune to channel 000, 001, 174, and 247, make sure that the audio unit is set to the channel mode (see owner's manual). If it is set to the channel mode, call XM radio customer support and check the account activation status.
1. Call Acura Client Services and verify the unit status. Request ACS to send an activation signal to the vehicle. Park the vehicle outside, and let the vehicle idle for about an hour.
Does the AcuraLink service application work?
YES - The vehicle is OK at this time.
NO - Go to step 2.
2. Check the No. 21 (10 A) fuse and the No. 32 (10 A) fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box.
Are the fuses OK?
YES - Go to step 3.
NO - Replace the fuse(s), and recheck.
3. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
4. Measure the voltage between terminal No. 3 of AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P) and body ground.
Is there battery voltage?
YES - Go to step 5.
NO - Repair open in the wire(s) between the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) and the No. 32 (10 A) fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box.
5. Measure the voltage between AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P) terminal No. 2 and body ground.
Is there battery voltage?
YES - Go to step 6.
NO - Repair open in the wire(s) between the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) and the No. 21 (10 A) fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box.
6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
7. Measure the voltage between AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P) terminal No. 28 and body ground.
Is there less than 0.1 V?
YES - Check for loose wires or poor connections at AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P). If the connections are good, substitute a known-good AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver), AcuraLink Control Unit (XM Receiver) Removal/Installation (With AcuraLink) and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver). AcuraLink Control Unit (XM Receiver) Removal/Installation (With AcuraLink) If the symptom/indication still does not go away, substitute a known-good PCM, rewrite the VIN and recheck.
NO - Check for an open or high resistance in the wire between the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) and body ground. If the wire is OK, check for poor ground at G602.
