Symptom Troubleshooting: SKIP and PAUSE/RESUME operations cannot be done
SKIP and PAUSE/RESUME operations cannot be done
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first.
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
- Check if the audio system functions normally.
- Check if the Bluetooth phone functioned normally when the Bluetooth phone was initially paired registration.
- Some mobile phones do not support the function.
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Turn on the audio unit, and check that MENU, SEEK/SKIP CATEGORY and DISP MODE button function normally with the audio unit.
Is the audio unit operation OK?
YES - Go to step 3.
NO - Substitute a known-good audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio unit. Audio Unit Removal/Installation
3. Check that music plays with the Bluetooth phone.
Is the system normal?
YES - Go to step 4.

4. Check the Bluetooth phone by either pairing the client's phone in a known-good vehicle, or pair a known-good phone to the client's vehicle.
Can you pair the Bluetooth phone?
YES - Substitute a known-good HandsFreeLink control unit Service and Repair, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original HandsFreeLink control unit. Service and Repair
NO - Defective Bluetooth phone.
