Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Indicator (Amber) Does Not Come on (With ACC/CMBS)




Symptom Troubleshooting: Adaptive cruise control (ACC) indicator (amber) does not come on

Adaptive cruise control (ACC) indicator (amber) does not come on

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

2. Watch the following indicators in the gauge control module:
- MIL

- Brake system light

- Charging light

Do the indicators come on?
YES - Go to the gauge control module self-diagnostic function. How to Troubleshoot the Gauges and Indicators

NO - Go to step 3.


3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

4. Check the No. 21 (10 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box.

Is the fuse OK?
YES - Go to step 5.

NO - Replace the fuse, then recheck.


5. Disconnect gauge control module connector B (28P).

6. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

7. Measure the voltage between the gauge control module connector B (28P) terminal No. 1 and body ground.

Is there battery voltage?
YES - Substitute a known-good gauge control module and recheck. If the problem goes away, replace the original gauge control module. Service and Repair

NO - Repair an open in the wire, if the wire is OK, replace the under-dash fuse/relay box.
