Symptom Troubleshooting: Adaptive cruise control (ACC) indicator (amber) does not go off

Adaptive cruise control (ACC) indicator (amber) does not go off

1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

2. Connect the HDS to the data link connector.

3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is any DTC indicated?
YES - Troubleshoot the indicated DTC.

NO - Go to step 4.


4. Start the engine, and wait for 2 seconds.

5. Watch the ACC indicator.

Does the ACC indicator go off?
YES - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.

NO - Go to step 6.


6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

7. Check for ACC system DTCs with the HDS.

Is any DTC indicated?
YES - Troubleshoot the indicated DTC.

NO - Go to step 8.


8. Check for Fuel and Emissions DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC U0104 indicated?
YES - Go to step 9.

9. Check for VSA system DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC 86 indicated?
YES - Go to step 10.

NO - Go to the gauge control module self-diagnostic function. How to Troubleshoot the Gauges and Indicators


10. Check for ACC system DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC 107 indicated?
YES - Aim the millimeter wave radar. Adjustments

NO - Go to step 11.


11. Check for CMBS DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC 100 indicated?
YES - Troubleshoot the indicated DTC.

NO - Go to ACC system troubleshooting (No DTC indication). Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) System Troubleshooting (No DTC Indication) (With ACC/CMBS) If OK, replace the ACC unit. Service and Repair
