SH-AWD DTC Troubleshooting: 12-1, 12-2, 12-3

DTC 12-1, 12-2, 12-3: Lateral Acceleration Sensor Malfunction

NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, review the general troubleshooting information. Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

2. Check for DTCs in the VSA system with the HDS.

Are any lateral acceleration sensor DTCs indicated?
YES - Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

NO - Go to step 3.


3. Park the vehicle on a level surface.

4. Compare the VOLTAGE OF LATERAL ACCELERATION SENSOR and the LATERAL ACCELERATION SENSOR NEUTRAL POSITION DATA in the DATA LIST with the HDS.

Is there difference between those two within 0.2 V?
YES - Replace the yaw rate-lateral/longitudinal acceleration sensor. Service and Repair

NO - Do the yaw rate-lateral/longitudinal acceleration neutral position memorization. Testing and Inspection
