Navigation System DTC Troubleshooting: 2607

DTC 2607: XM Diag

NOTE:

- Check the vehicle battery condition first. Testing and Inspection

1. Clear the hard error code. How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back ON (II).

3. Check the Error History. How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System

Is Hard Error 2601 indicated?
YES - Do the 2601 troubleshooting.

NO - Go to step 4.


4. Go into the Diagnostic Menu, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items menu. Navigation System Diagnostic Mode

5. Check the System Links.

Is the XM (HIP) or XM icon red?
YES - Go to step 6.

NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.


6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

7. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector, or XM receiver unit connector, satellite signal antenna connector, and the navigation display unit 20P connector.

Are there connections OK?
YES - Go to step 8.

NO - Repair poor connections or loose terminals.


8. Disconnect AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P) or XM receiver unit connector A (14P), and the navigation display unit 20P connector.

9. Connect AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P), or XM receiver unit connector A (14P) terminals No. 30 [or No. 9] and No. 31 [or No. 10] with a jumper wire.

10. Check for continuity between navigation display unit 20P connector terminals No. 5 and No.15.

Is there continuity?
YES - Do the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver), or XM receiver troubleshooting.

NO - There is an open in the wire between the navigation display unit and the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver), or the XM receiver. Replace the affected shielded harness.
