Symptom Troubleshooting: Adaptive cruise control (ACC) indicator (amber) does not go off
Adaptive cruise control (ACC) indicator (amber) does not go off
1. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Are any DTCs?
YES - Troubleshoot the indicated DTC(s).
NO - Go to step 2.
2. Start the engine, and wait for 2 seconds.
3. Watch the ACC indicator.
Does the ACC indicator go off?
YES - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
NO - Go to step 4.
4. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
5. Check for ACC system DTCs with the HDS.
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES - Troubleshoot the indicated DTC(s).
NO - Go to step 6.
6. Check for PGM-FI system DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC U0104 indicated?
YES - Go to step 7.
NO - Go to the gauge control module self-diagnostic function. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
7. Check for VSA system DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 86 indicated?
YES - Go to step 8.
NO - Go to the gauge control module self-diagnostic function. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
8. Check for ACC system DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 107 indicated?
YES - Do the millimeter wave radar aiming. Adjustments
NO - Go to step 9.
9. Check for CMBS DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 100 indicated?
YES - Troubleshoot the indicated DTC.
NO - Go to the ACC system troubleshooting (No DTC indication). Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) System Troubleshooting (No DTC Indication) (With ACC/CMBS) If OK, replace the ACC unit. Service and Repair
