Oil Pan Cleaning

OIL PAN CLEANING

- Drain engine oil




^ Always replace drain plug seal

- Detach lines from bracket (arrows)

- Remove lower section of oil pan and thoroughly clean

- Replace the oil filter
^ Oil the rubber seal and torque the filter to: 20Nm(15 ft lb)

- Re-install lower section to oil pan using a new gasket
^ Tighten oil pan bolts to 10 Nm (7 ft lb)

- Re-attach the lines to the brackets

- Fill the engine with fresh oil

CAUTION
Do NOT overfill the engine. The oil level must not be above the Max. mark on the dipstick or there is the possibility of damaging the catalytic convertor.
