Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Requirements:
- DTC memory checked
- Malfunctions eliminated

Work Sequence:
Indicated on display:

Rapid data transfer HELP
Select function XX

- Press buttons -0- and -5- to select "Erase DTC memory" function 05.

Indicated on display:

Rapid data transfer Q
05 - Erase DTC Memory

- Press -Q- button to confirm input.

If "DTC Memory is not interrogated" appears in the display:

Attention!
DTC Memory is not interrogated

^ DTC memory is not erased.
^ The ignition was switched off between checking DTC memory and attempting to erase DTC memory.

- Strictly follow sequence of operations, i.e. first check DTC memory before trying to erase.

Indicated on display (DTC memory will be erased after approx. 5 seconds):

Rapid data transfer ->
DTC Memory is erased

DTC memory is erased.

- Press -> button.

Indicated on display:

Rapid data transfer HELP
Select function XX

NOTE: Wait approximately 1 minute before trying to check DTC memory again.

If "System not ready for Activation" appears in the display:

System not ready for Activation

or printout reads:

1 malfunction recognized
00811 3333
System not ready for Activation

- Wait approximately 1 minute before trying to check DTC memory again.
- Check and erase DTC memory.

After DTC memory has been checked and erased:
- Road test for at least 5 minutes.
Must include at least one automatic shift at kickdown.
- Check DTC memory again.
^ "No DTC recognized" must be indicated on display:
