Condition
The wheel alignment specifications for the TT and TT quattro, US and Canadian models, have been revised since the 1999 Hunter vehicle specification release (included 2000 MY Audi TT specifications).
Service
Until the 2000 version of the Hunter vehicle specification release is issued with updated specifications please use the following wheel alignment specifications. You must enter the revised specifications into your Hunter alignment equipment as "User Specifications" if your program does not show the specifications as printed in this Technical Bulletin. These specifications should be stored as "Factory Amended Specifications". General instructions on how to enter this information are included in this bulletin.
These wheel alignment specifications will also be included in the next version of the Audi Electronic Service Information System (AESIS) CD-ROM in Repair Group 44.

Storing Specifications
- Recall the vehicle specifications from the specification memory.
- Compare the specifications in the Hunter database with those under wheel alignment specifications of this Technical Bulletin. (Shaded specifications on pages 2 and 3 are those that may be necessary to change in the database.)
- Manually change the database specifications as necessary (Not all the specifications will need to be revised.)
Note:
^ Be sure to use the same display units as shown in the original data when editing the specifications.
^ To enter degrees and minutes into the specifications screen, enter the degrees first, followed by a space, then the minutes (i.e. 0 45 will display as 0°45' on the specifications screen).
- When the specifications are ready to store, press "Store Specifications". The "Store Specification" popup screen will appear.
- Type in the identification of the vehicle. This is the name of the vehicle that will appear on the "Specification Recall" popup screen and at the top of the "Vehicle Specifications" primary screen.
- Press "Next Field" or "Tab" and the cursor will move to the "Spec Note" field. Type in a note directing all technicians to use the amended specifications when aligning an Audi TT or Audi TT quattro. Add any other desired notes concerning the vehicle (e.g. add the number of this Technical Bulletin).
- Press "OK". The "Specification Location" screen will appear.
- Press "Store in Factory Specs" Since the specification ID is already used in the database, the specification will be saved as an amendment to the factory specification.
- Use the amended specifications when performing a wheel alignment on any Audi TT or Audi TT quattro.
