Compressor (Denso), Removing and Installing



- Discharge A/C refrigerant system Service and Repair
- Detach refrigerant lines from compressor Compressor (Denso) Refrigerant Lines, Disconnecting/Connecting
- Remove compressor from bracket

CAUTION! If a new compressor has been installed or new refrigerant oil has been put into the compressor (e.g. after blowing through the A/C system and discharging compressor via the oil drain plug), the compressor must be turned manually approx. 10 revolutions. This ensures that the compressor is not damaged when activated.

When operating the compressor for the first time:
- Start engine with system switched off (compressor OFF).
- Wait until idle speed has stabilized.
- Switch compressor on and allow it to run at least 10 minutes with engine idling.

NOTE: See Removing and installing ribbed belt.

CAUTION! Mark the running direction of the ribbed belt before removing. The belt could break if allowed to run in the reverse direction.
