Wiper Arm: Adjustments

Required special tools and test equipment
3358 windshield wiper adjuster

Wiper arm angle, checking
- Move wiper arms to park position.
- Remove wiper blades.





- Insert wiper arm -2- into windshield wiper adjuster 3358 and secure with locking screw -3-.
- Compare actual angle with specifications.
- Driver's side: -9 °C
- Passenger's side: -5 °C
- Tolerance: +/- 0 °C


Wiper arms, adjusting
If the wiper arm angle is not as specified:
- Move wiper arms to park position.
- Remove wiper blade.





- Insert wiper arm -2- into windshield wiper adjuster special tool 3358 and secure with locking screw -3-.
- Adjust wiper arm to specified angle using a 24 mm wrench -1- as shown.
- Remove windshield wiper adjuster special tool 3358 from wiper arm -2-, then install tool on arm again and re-check angle.
- Compare indicated angle with specified value.
- If necessary repeat procedure until angle is as specified.
- Remove adjustment tool and install wiper blade.
