Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Table For Headlight Automatic Vertical Aim Control

NOTE:

- The following table lists, in sequence of the 5-digit trouble code number, a possible Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) which the headlight automatic vertical aim control system control module can recognize and which the VAG1551 can print.
- Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) appear only on the print-out.
- Before replacing a component suspected as being faulty, check wiring and connections to the component and Ground (GND) connections using the wiring diagram.
- After completing repairs and the functional system check, re-check and erase the DTC memory using the VAG1551.
- The DTC memory records all static and sporadic faults. A malfunction is considered static if it exists for at least 2 seconds. If the malfunction is no longer present, it is saved as a sporadic fault. "ISP" appears on the right of the display.
- After switching the ignition on, all existing malfunctions are set to sporadic. If they are still present after the system check, they will be stored as static malfunctions.
- If a sporadic malfunction does not reoccur within 50 ignition cycles (ignition on for at least 5 minutes, vehicle speed greater than 30 km/h (18 mph)), it will be erased.
- The 3-digit trouble type number appearing next to the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is a data code which can be ignored.
