Diagnostic Trouble Codes 00297 / P0722 and 17106 / P0722 - 5 Spd. Automatic Transmission 01V





1) First check harness connectors for contact corrosion and water ingress, replace if necessary.





1) Pay attention to which hydraulic control the transmission has when selecting measuring value block.

Note for DTC 00297 / P0722:

^ The DTC recognition process includes a plausibility test: The ratio of transmission RPM to engine RPM and transmission input RPM with the driving range currently engaged is implausible. Requirement for test: a driving range must definitely be selected (not P or N) or between gate positions and the shift must be completed.

2) Sensor for transmission output RPM -G195- is also referred to as transmission vehicle speed sensor -G38-.
3) Pay attention to which hydraulic control the transmission has when selecting measuring value block.

Note for malfunction recognition of DTC 17106 / P0722:

^ Malfunction recognition includes a plausibility test: The ratio from transmission input RPM to engine RPM and transmission output RPM with drive range selected is implausible. (Test requirement: a driving range must clearly be selected, not -P- or -N- or between ranges and the selection of a driving range must be completed).
