Code Control Module (function 07)


NOTE:
- The various combination possibilities of the driver information system are adjusted via the coding according to equipment, country version, cylinder count and engine version.
- The code table lists only those combinations applicable to the Audi A6.







Coding example
02266 Seat belt warning active, country version USA, 6-cylinder, gasoline engine

Procedure
- Initiate output Diagnostic Test Mode of instrument cluster, Initiating


Display on VAS5051:







- Select diagnostic function "07 - Code Control Module" in selection -1 -.


Display on VAS5051:







1 - Enter code word Max. input value = 32767
- Enter 5-digit coding in button field -2- according to coding table. If necessary, insert zeros in front.

Example:
Desired input value: 2266
Keypad input: 02266

- Press -Q- button to confirm input.


Display on VAS5051:







1 - Coding will be performed
- Wait until the next indication appears on display.


Display on VAS5051:







1 - Coding in vehicle system performed
2 - Control module identification with new coding (previous coding in parentheses)
- End function "07 - Erase DTC Memory" by pressing <- button.







NOTE: For navigation III (On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capable), select adaptation channel 62.


Coding version For additional equipment

If other additional equipment is installed in vehicle which can be coded, the first two digits of the code number must be entered as sum of the individual additional equipment-codings.

Example: Larger fuel tank volume (82 instead of 70 liters) and seat belt warning active 01 + 02 = 03
