Safety precautions
Observe the following if the use of test and measuring instruments is necessary during test runs:

WARNING!
^ Proceed as follows in order to avoid the danger of accident during measuring and test trips:
^ Only the VAS5051 or VAG1551 may be used for read-out of the measured value blocks. The instrument must in all cases be fixed to the rear seat and operated there by a second person.

Observe the following in order to avoid injury to persons and/or damage to electrical and electronic components.

^ Only connect and disconnect measuring and test instruments with the ignition switched off.
^ In certain tests, the control module may detect and store a code. For this reason, the DTC memory should be checked and erased, if necessary, after completion of all checks and repairs.
