Radio Concert shows "SAFE," code inquiry

Condition

- When switching on the radio, SAFE appears and the code has to be entered.

- After entering the code and switching off the radio, the screen briefly flashes every 60 - 70 seconds.

Technical Background

The complaint can occur after the radio was disconnected from the vehicle power system for more than 24 hours. There is still a voltage remaining in the radio, which can lead to an undefined operating condition of the processor.

Production Solution

New radio from week 25/03.

Service

1. Disconnect the radio for about 5 minutes (at least 3 minutes).

2. Restore the power supply.

3. Switch on the radio and enter the SAFE code.

4. Switch off the radio.

5. Switch on the radio again after 2 minutes. The radio must not show SAFE any more.

Tip:
Replacing parts is not permitted.
