Windshield Defroster, Disabling

NOTE:
- The Heated Windshield Control Module -J505- is installed in the fresh air plenum beneath the battery.
- In the event that the front windshield has a crack (e.g. hit by stone), the heating of the front windshield has be disabled, to avoid further cracking of windshield.
- The A/C control head -E87- does not regulate the Heated Windshield Control Module -J505- in "Econ" operating mode.







- To avoid a restriction of the air conditioning function, the activation of the Heated Windshield Control Module -J505- has to be interrupted until the damaged windshield defroster -Z2- is replaced. To do this disconnect connector -A- from control module -B-.
