Affected Vehicles

Condition

Customers may complain of being unable to fill the fuel tank because the fuel pump nozzle shuts off prematurely while refilling the fuel tank.

Technical Background

The canister filter element may be partially or completely clogged by particles.

Production Solution

Corrected in production as of CW 25/2005.

Service

Replace the evaporative emission canister per instructions in the Repair Manual.

Tip:

Secure all hose connections using hose clamps appropriate for the model type. Refer to ETKA for parts information.
