Affected Vehicles
Condition
Noise from the lower portion of the glove compartment where it meets the center console.
Technical Background
The glove compartment housing makes contact with the center console and creates a creaking noise.
Production Solution
Felt strip material applied to the point of contact between the glove compartment and the center console.
Service
Tip: The glove compartment does not have to be removed.
1. Apply the felt strip material as shown. Use the felt strip material to isolate the glove compartment from the center console.
2. Test drive the vehicle to ensure that the noise has been eliminated.
