Pressure Regulator Valves (Multitronic Transmission) Checking
Pressure Regulator Valves (Multitronic Transmission) Checking
Test requirement:
- Transmission at ambient temperature (approx. 20.5C).
Test sequence
- Remove Transmission Control Module (TCM) -J217-
- Connect multimeter between valve terminals 1 and 2 of respective valve for resistance measurement.
A - Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 1 -N215-
B - Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 2 -N216-
C - Solenoid valve 1 -N88-
- Specified value: respectively 4 to 5 Ohms
NOTE: The indicated specified value applies only to an ambient temperature of approx. 20.5 degrees C.
If specified value is not obtained or exceeded:
- Replace hydraulic control unit.
Assembling
Assembly is performed in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
Final procedures
After connecting harness connector on wiring harness to Transmission Control Module (TCM), the following work steps must be performed in the mentioned sequence:
1. Check DTC memory. Diagnostic Mode 03 - Read DTC Memory
2. If necessary, erase DTC memory. Diagnostic Mode 04 - Erase DTC Memory
3. If DTC memory was erased, generate readiness code.
- End diagnosis and switch ignition off.
