Removing






1 Sliding headliner

• Sunroof panel removed.

• Remove bolts - 4 -.

• Rear slider remains in sunroof frame guide track.

• Remove carrier plate - 7 -and lift sliding headliner upward and out.

2 TORX screw

• 1 Nm.

3 Rear slider

• Remains in guide track on frame.

4 TORX screw

• 1 Nm.

5 Pull-spring

• To remove, remove bolts - 2 -.

6 TORX screw

• 1 Nm.

7 Rear slider carrier plate

• To remove, remove bolts - 2 -.

8 Glide piece

• Slid onto spring retaining plate

9 Spring retaining plate

• No replacement part.

10 Frame

- Remove glass sunroof panel. Refer to => [ Sunroof Panel ] Sunroof Panel.

- Move sunroof headliner - 3 - forward until screws- 5 - for rear guide pieces- 4 - are accessible.

- Remove the bolts - 5 -.





- Glide pieces - 4 -remain with guide in guide track- 1 -

- Remove the securing segment - 2 -. Refer to => [ Slotted Guide Rail Cowl Panel Trim ] Slotted Guide Rail Cowl Panel Trim

- Remove screws - 4 - and remove cover plate - 3 -.

- Remove screws - 2 - and pull glide piece carrier plate- 1 - upwards diagonally out of guide track.





- Pull sunroof headliner toward front out of frame for sunroof operation.

- Rear glide pieces remain in guide track.

Installation

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.

Tightening Specifications






Carrier Plate Stop





- Slide stop - 2 - onto carrier plate - 1 - as shown. Retaining hooks must engage in holes when doing this.

Only on Vehicles with Solar Panel

- Move solar panel back slightly.





- Pull sunroof headliner downward slightly in direction of arrow and slide in headliner toward rear.

• In this way, guide pins on rear of headliner are slid out of the guide and the headliner can be removed after removing the solar panel.

- Position solar panel.

- Remove sunroof panel the same as glass panel => [ Remove bolts and. ] Sunroof Panel and remove headliner.

- Installation is reverse of removal, noting the following.

- Insert headliner in roof and slide it back into roof cutout.

- Install and adjust solar panel.

- Close solar panel.


With solar panel closed, headliner must slide forward so that guide pins on solar panel engage in rear guides on headliner.

- Slide headliner forward and let it engage in center of solar panel.
