Engine, Securing on Engine Stand

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095)

• Shop crane (VAS 6100)

• Lifting tackle (3033)

• Shackle (10-222A/12)

• Spacers (VW 540/1B)

Procedure

- Install the (10-222A/12) to the right front and left rear engine lifting eyes.





- Install the (3033) to the (10-222A/12) and the (VAS 6100), as shown in the illustration.

- Lift the engine using the (VAS 6100) far enough so that flywheel center is at the height of the mounting plate of the (VAS 6095). Then, install it with four bolts at the cylinder block as shown.
