Fastener Tightening Specifications





• 1 Always replace

• 2 Install the bolts using locking compound

Cylinder Head Cover Bolt Tightening Sequence and Specification





- Tighten the cylinder head cover bolts in sequence - 1 through 12 - to 10 Nm

Cylinder Head Bolt Tightening Sequence and Specification





- Tighten the cylinder head bolts in the sequence shown - 1 through 10 - in four stages as follows:

• First pass, tighten the bolts to 30 Nm

• Second pass, tighten the bolts to 60 Nm

• Third pass, tighten the bolts an additional 90° (1/4) turn

• Final pass, tighten the bolts an additional 90° (1/4) turn

• There is no requirement to retighten the cylinder head bolts after repairs.
