Affected Vehicles

Condition
Only P0234 (Turbo/Super Charger Overboost Condition) set in control unit and/or MIL on; performance is not affected.

Technical Background

P0234 can be set inadvertently by the software application.

Note:
P0234 can be set with an actual cause in combination with loss of engine power, low/uneven engine performance, based on a defect in charge pressure control.

Production Solution

Not applicable.

Service

^ P0234 without performance affected: Service software update with SVM code 01A050

^ P0234 with performance affected: Proceed working on the complaint according to GFF and repair manual.

SVM Update Instructions

1. Follow all instructions in the attached TSB 2011732 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.





2. Update the ECM (J 623) using the SVM action code as listed in the table above if necessary.
