Condition
Customer may report harsh downshifts while braking or harsh 1-2 upshift under acceleration.
Technical Background
Further TCM software calibration to improve shift concerns.
Production Solution
New software in the Transmission Control Module (J217) addresses the condition.
Service
This is only for vehicles that have updated the software using the 37G1 prior to March 30. After March 30, 2012, SVM code 37G1A001 will update TCM to 1005. This bulletin cannot be claimed at the same visit as RVU 37G1.
SVM Update Instructions
1. Follow all instructions in the attached TSB 2011732 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. Update the Transmission Control Module (J217) using the SVM action code as listed in the table above if necessary.
