Windshield Washer Spray Nozzles, Adjusting

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Windshield washer aiming tool (T40187) equipped with Replacement Tips For T10127 (3125/5A)
Adjusting
Risk of injury.
• If the windshield washer aiming tool (T40187) is not used, ensure that both sides are always covered and secured by covers - 3 - and - 4 -.
• If one side is not secured by the cover, injury can be caused by the Replacement Tips For T10127 (3125/5A) - 1 - or adjusting pin - 2 -.
• When opening each side, always ensure that the other side is not pointing toward the hand.
• The settings indicate the values for a moving vehicle, i.e. the spray from the jets is slightly offset when the vehicle is stationary.
- Mark the six points on windshield using a water soluble marker:
- Unlock long cover - 1 - on the (T40187) - arrow A - and push it back - arrow B -.
- Place adjusting pin - 2 - on the respective nozzle - arrow - of nozzle unit - 1 - and aim at the points on the windshield and adjust if necessary.
- If the spray field does not correspond to the specifications, clean dirty spray jet.
Risk of injury.
• The adjusting pin must be covered and secured by the cover after each use.
Cleaning the nozzle
- Remove nozzle. Refer to => [ Windshield Washer Spray Nozzles ] Windshield Washer Spray Nozzles.
- Flush nozzle opposite to spray direction using clear water.
- To remove remaining impurities, the nozzle must only be blown out opposite to spray direction using compressed air.
- If the spray field still does not correspond to the specifications, replace the spray jet.
