Condition

The instrument panel vents cannot be adjusted. The knob may be broken.

Technical Background





The force required to adjust the vent is greater than the attachment strength of the knob. As a result, the knob may break (Figure 1).

Production Solution

A more robust vent assembly is implemented.

Service

Replace the instrument panel vent.
