Telephone Transceiver (R36)
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Protective cap for cable connector (VAS 6223/9)
The telephone transceiver is located under the front passenger's seat.
- Switch off all electrical consumers.
- Remove the key.
If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine in the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
Removing
- Remove the right front seat.
- Fold back the floor covering.
- Disengage cover of E-box - 2 - and open the E-box - 1 -.
The telephone transceiver is only wedged into the electronics box.
- Pry the telephone transceiver - 5 - out of the E-box - 4 -.
Only with MOST-Bus
- Disconnect electrical connection - 2 -.
- Connect the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - to the connector for the MOST-Bus - 2 -.
All
- Disconnect the connector - 3 -.
- Disconnect Bluetooth(R) Antenna (R152) - 1 -.
Installing
- Perform the installation in reverse order.
- Readapt Bluetooth(R) connection between telephone transceiver and telephone handset (R36) / cellular telephone (R54).
