Sunroof






1 Glass Panel

Removing, refer to => [ Glass Panel ] Service and Repair

2 Right Boot

Removing

3 Rear Seal

Self-adhesive:

The front and rear seals have end caps. Press the seal on by pressing on the end caps and working toward the center.

- Tilt the glass panel.

- Remove the old seal from the glass panel and remove the adhesive residue completely.

- Clean adhesive surface with cleaning solution (D 009 401 04).

- Apply bonding agent (D 009 200 02) to the adhesive surface and let it dry for 10 minutes.

- Remove the protective film from the adhesive tap and press it firmly onto the edge of the panel as shown.

4 Left Boot

Removing

5 Front Seal

Self-adhesive

- The glass panel is removed.

The front and rear seals have end caps. Press the seal on by pressing on the end caps and working toward the center.

- Remove the old seal from the glass panel and remove the adhesive residue completely.

- Clean adhesive surface with cleaning solution (D 009 401 04).

- Apply bonding agent (D 009 200 02) to the adhesive surface and let it dry for 10 minutes.

- Remove the protective film from the adhesive tap and press it firmly onto the edge of the panel as shown.

6 Body Seal

For removal, the glass panel is removed and the seal is removed from the side body flange.

Installing

7 Bolt

2.5 Nm

8 Glide Piece

The sun shade is removed.

9 Mount

Self-adhesive.

To remove, warm the body using a hot air gun if necessary.

- Remove adhesive residue.

Adhesion surface must be free of dust and grease.

- Clean adhesive surface with cleaning solution (D 009 401 04).

- Remove the protective film, position the mount with the front stop and press it only firmly.

10 Sun Shade

Removing, refer to => [ Sun Shade ] Service and Repair

The glass panel is removed.

The wind deflector is removed.

Do not operate the sun shade when it is removed or it will be damaged and will have to be replaced.

11 Bolt

1 Nm

12 Wind Deflector

Removing=> [ (Item 4) Wind Deflector ] Service and Repair

13 Bolt

1.5 Nm

Boot, Removing






- With the glass panel tilted, remove the boot - 1 - forward out of the mount - 2 - from behind.

- To install, remove the glass panel from the slotted guide rails.

- Lift the glass panel slightly and insert the boot diagonally in the mount.

- Press the boot completely into the mount in stages using a plastic wedge.

Boot, Replacing






- The glass panel is removed.

- Remove the old boot from the glass panel and remove the adhesive residue completely.

- Clean adhesive surface with cleaning solution (D 009 401 04).

- Apply bonding agent (D 009 200 02) to the adhesive surface and let it dry for 10 minutes.

- Remove the protective film from the adhesive tape and press the new boot on firmly at a distance of "dimension a" = 32 mm to the edge of the panel.

Body Seal, Installing






- The glass panel is removed.

- To remove, remove the side seal from the body flange.

- When installing, press the seal - 1 - onto the body flange firmly at a distance of approximately 200 mm from the curve on "mounting point A".

- Press the seal on all around and compress the excess length evenly in "area B" if necessary.
