Receiver Dryer: Service and Repair

Removal:
- Discharge pressure in air conditioner.

CAUTION:
Automotive refrigerant containing CFC's is hazardous to the earth's atmosphere.
To protect our environment, use an Underwriter's Laboratory (UL) approved refrigerant recovery recycling unit whenever discharging an A/C system.

- Remove washer fluid tank.





- Remove screws.
- Take off trim.





- Disconnect lines (1 and 2), while holding hexagon (3).
- Insert plugs in open connections immediately.





- Disconnect plugs (1) from safety switches.





- Unscrew bolts.
- Remove drier.





- Remove safety switches (1 high pressure and 2 - low pressure), while holding on hexagon (3).
- Insert plugs in open connections immediately.

Installation Notes:

- Install both safety switches with a bolt locking compound, HWB No. 81 22 94 17 144.
- Replace all seals for A/C line connections.
- Recharge and check air conditioner for leaks after installation.
