Malfunction Indicator Lamp: Service and Repair
Instrument Carrier Retaining Screw Location:
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and cover the post.
2. With the wheels in the straight ahead position remove the steering wheel.
3. Remove the knee board trim panel screws.
4. Remove the two knurled nuts from behind the lower instrument carrier trim panel. Lift out the trim panel.
5. Remove the instrument carrier trim panel screws. Lift out the trim panel.
6. Remove the two instrument carrier retaining screws. Pull out the instrument carrier and remove the electrical connectors. Lift out the instrument carrier.
7. Replace the "CHECK ENGINE" light bulb.
8. Reinstall the instrument carrier in reverse manner. Using a new self-locking nut torque the steering wheel to 80 Nm (58 lbs.).
