Egs Control Units

There are many changes regarding the correct application of EGS control units on these models. Not only do these vehicles have a revised "EGS Map", but the 535i and 735i/iL now have the possibility of coming equipped with EML. The following table lists the different control unit applications. These control units are not compatible with previous models.

Pay close attention to the equipment level of the vehicle when selecting a replacement control unit. The EGS system can still be diagnosed using the "Understanding AEGS" manual for the third version, E9 system.
