Correction Procedure

Correction: The repair consists of removing, modifying, and reinstalling the knee bolster.


Procedure: Remove the underdash trim on the driver's side to expose the knee bolster.





Remove the five bolts fastening the knee bolster and remove the bolster.

Bend down the metal lip as shown in the illustration to give more clearance between the bolster and the steering column covering.


Reinstall the knee bolster and underdash trim.
