Resetting Service Indicator

MODELS:
All equipped with 20-pin diagnostic connector

Situation:
Difficulty in resetting the Service Indicator of the above-mentioned vehicles may be encountered when using BMW special tool P/N 88 88 6 621 100 (15 pin tool), in conjunction with BMW special tool P/N 88 88 6 621 140 (adapter, 15 to 20 pin). Please note that this combination (S.I. resetting tool and adapter) has been superseded by BMW special tool P/N 88 88 6 621 110 (20 pin tool). Please refer to S.I. 04 28 89 (1994).
