Heater Control Valve: Service and Repair

Removal:
- Disconnect battery ground lead.
- Drain coolant.





- Disconnect both water hoses.
- Remove left side underdash panel.
- Remove lower portion of center console.





- Pull off plug (1).





- Unscrew bolt (1).
- Take off clamp (2).





- Unscrew bolts (1 and 2).





- Unscrew bolts.
- Take off water valve with pipe lines.

Checking Water Valve:
- Water valve should be open when without electric power.
- Water valve should be closed when supplied with battery voltage.

Installation Notes:





- Replace seal.





- Replace seals.
- Bleed cooling system.
- Check coolant level.
