INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
for ALARM SERVICE KIT
(P/N 82 11 1 468 754)

1. Remove R/H underdash panel to gain access to the Alpine Control Module.

2. Remove the module. Connect the module from the Service Kit to the alarm wiring, but do not remount the module into its bracket.

3. Remove the top cover of the customer's transmitter.

4. Slide the chip socket holder forward as shown.

5. Gently pull the old microchip out of its socket. This chip will be used for coding the control unit.

6. While holding the control unit facing downward, remove the programming access cover. Insert the microchip removed in step 5 into the control unit's chip socket (with label side up). Push the socket holder back to secure the chip.

7. Press the RESET button. The Status LED will flash twice to indicate that the code has been accepted.

Repeat step 3-7 if you are coding for another transmitter.

NOTE:
The control unit can accept up to 4 ID codes. Any excessive (more than 4) code(s) programmed into the control unit will replace the oldest previous entered code(s).

8. Remove the microchip from the control unit and reinstall the microchip back into the transmitter: Insert the chip (with label side up) into the socket. Push the socket holder back to secure the chip.

9. Replace the control unit's programming access cover. Reinstall the control unit and confirm that all the connectors are connected properly.

10. The additional microchips included in the Alarm Service Kit are also coded to the control module. These must be given to the customer so that transmitters purchased in addition to the two which accompanied the original alarm may also be coded to the new module.
