The 325i convertible (E30), 535i, and M5 have been discontinued during the 1993 model year.





85OCSi
The flagship of the 8-Series combines the 850Ci's grand touring character with the most powerful engine ever offered on a production BMW, and revised suspension technology. It is available only by special order.





Engine:
BMW Motorsport has revised the M70 60° V-12 design currently used in 7-Series and 8-Series models, giving it the new designation S70 B56. A comparison with the M70 shows the major features:

840Ci
The most affordable version of the 8-Series. Certain equipment will not be available as standard equipment such as EDC, cellular telephone, CD changer, interior wood trim.

It will receive the same drivetrain as in the 54Oi (M6O B40 engine with A5S 56OZ 5-speed automatic transmission). No manual transmission is available.
