As part of our mutual commitment to our customers, we must be prepared to respond to their individual transportation needs. Since the modification of the vehicle should be completed in approximately two to three hours, all that may be necessary is to extend the offer to shuttle the customer or deliver the car to and from their home or office. Should a customer request alternate transportation when scheduling an appointment for this modification, it would, of course, be preferable to provide a BMW Service Loaner (also see Sales Operation Dealer Bulletin 94-079, dated 10/12/94) to satisfy this request Proper scheduling (with a concerted effort to analyze and plan for the customer's transportation needs at the time of scheduling is critical to the success of this program.In the event that demand outpaces supply of BMW Loaner/Demonstrator vehicles, (note: vehicle log must be kept) BMW NA has made arrangements with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. The agreement provides the following at a nationwide (non-negotiable) daily rate of $45.00 per day (plus the applicable state and local taxes).
A full size vehicle whenever available, or an intermediate size vehicle (only when a full size is not available).
Unlimited free mileage (provided that the vehicle remains within the state it was rented in for the duration of the agreement).
Damage Waiver Protection (where allowed by law - where not, risk assumed by Enterprise).
PAI (Personal Accident Insurance) which provides additional benefits in the event an accident occurs.
Liability Protection (up to the limits of the agreement).
Transportation to and from the dealership to the rental agency by an Enterprise agent.
