Situation:
The design of the safety belt pretensioner arming cable mounting point has been modified in production. When installing a late production part in an earlier car, the difference in the cable may lead a technician to believe that the new part will not fit.

The new style cable mount fits the earlier seat, but the installation procedure has changed.





Procedure:
When installing the new style cable, drop the outer sheath of the cable into the notch of the mounting ear, and pull the cable as indicated until the mount snaps into place.
