SUBJECT:
Fault Codes 6 and 15 in On-Board Computer (BC V)

MODELS:
3 Series (E36)

Situation:
Fault Codes 6 "Timer" and 15 "DME injection Signal" are erroneously stored in the BC V fault code memory, and the fault code memory cannot be cleared.

Cause:
Software error in the diagnosis program V 6.0 when reading the fault memory.

Correction:
These faults can be ignored. The other diagnostic functions can still be used for further troubleshooting.

The function "Read Fault Code Memory" will be corrected in diagnostic software V 7.0.
