2. Rotary Striker Locks
Situation:
A second locking tab has been added to the rotary striker locks for the central locking actuators. The ridge ("A" in the illustration above) of the central locking actuator snaps into position behind the tab ("B" in the illustration above).
The new rotary striker locks have been installed in series production since May 1991.
Caution:
Before removing a central locking actuator, it is imperative that the rotary striker lock be removed first to avoid damage to the actuator housing. Damage to the actuator due to failure to follow this procedure is not covered under warranty.

If the Rotary Striker Lock is removed because of a failed actuator, use:
