Re: BMW (model) Vehicle Identification Number xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Dear M roadster/M coupe owner,

As part of BMW's ongoing quality monitoring process, a potential shortcoming has been detected that may affect the operation of the M Mobility flat tire inflation system in your car.

Our monitoring has determined that some M Mobility units may have been incorrectly assembled, which could cause kinking of an internal air hose, possibly restricting sealant and air flow when attempting to fill a flat tire.

In order to ensure that the M Mobility unit in your car will function as designed, should it ever be necessary to utilize the flat tire inflation function, we request that you make an appointment to bring your car in to your BMW center service department at your earliest convenience. They will check the unit and correct the hose routing if required. This procedure will take less than one-half hour.

We would like to remind you that your car is covered by the BMW Roadside Assistance Program for flat tire related towing for the life of the car. If you should ever experience a flat tire, we recommend that you contact BMW Roadside Assistance at 1-800-XXX-XXXX to have your car transported to the nearest BMW center to have the repair performed. The M Mobility system in your car should only be used in emergencies where towing is not possible.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact one of our Customer Relations representatives at 1-800-831-1117.

Very truly yours,

BMW of North America, Inc.
