SITUATION





The clock installed in M roadster / coupe vehicles has a fine line on the clock face which is sometimes mistakenly identified as a crack. This line, which is usually oriented in the 6 o'clock position, is formed during the molding process of the clock face, and is a normal feature.

PROCEDURE
In case of a customer complaint, where the customer has mistakenly identified the molding line as a crack, explain to the customer that it is a molding line, and not a crack. Do not replace the clock, the replacement part will have the same feature.

Clock replacements for this complaint will be debited back to the BMW center concerned.
