Function Indicator
The function of the AHL is indicated by the FLC LED lighting permanently. A fault in the AHL system is indicated by the FLC LED flashing with the AHL active. The low beam headlight and the headlight vertical aim control (LWR) remain active in the case of fault. The swivel function of the bi-xenon modules is deactivated.
A reference run is performed during every new start. If a defect is found, the bi-xenon headlights are switched off to ensure oncoming traffic cannot be dazzled. The fog lights are switched on as a substitute function.
