Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

64 51 591 - Removing and installing/replacing evaporator

Necessary preliminary tasks:

• Remove heater. Service and Repair
• Remove bulkhead adapter. Service and Repair





- Feed out cable (1).
- Unclip retainers (2).





- Release screw (1).
- Unclip fastening clips (2).
- Detach upper housing (3) in direction of arrow and lay to one side.





- Release screws (1).

Installation: Tighten to 5.5 Nm

- Remove expansion valve (2).

Installation: Replace sealing rings.

- Remove Retaining (3).
- Remove evaporator (4) in direction of arrow.
