Special tools required:
- 51 0 100
- 51 0 104
- 51 0 105





Use the gantry crane (special tool 51 0 100) to remove and install heavy panes of glass, e.g. on the E67 safety car.

(5) - Door window glass locator (special tool 51 0 105)

(6) - Vacuum pump with lever for diverting vacuum and electric ON/OFF switch

(7) - Hoisting winch for windshield and rear window locators

(8) - Hoisting winch for door window glass locator

(9) - Individual vacuum sucker (suction cup)

Rollers (1) can be fixed under the supports for exact positioning of window glass.





Warning!
In the event of a power failure, the vacuum suckers will only hold the weight for a few seconds.
Do not work under hanging loads without taking additional protective measures (retaining straps)!
Extreme risk of injury!





Important!
Window glass must be clean and free of grease on the outside (risk of slippage).





Raising windshield or rear window:
Align special tool 51 0 104 to outer side of windshield or rear window as specified in repair instructions.
(1) - Crank lever for precision raising/lowering of glass
(2) - Retaining straps for wrapping around glass when working under hanging load





The inclination angle of special tool 51 0 104 to the glass can be roughly adjusted with clamping bolts (1).





For exacting positioning of glass, the angle of special tool 51 0 104 can be precision-adjusted with bolts (1) on the cardan suspension (2).





Raising door window glass:
Removal:
Align special tool 51 0 105 to outer side of door window glass as specified in repair instructions.





Switch on vacuum pump.
Press vacuum suckers onto glass and close valve next to vacuum gauge (1).

Important!
Needle of vacuum gauge (1) must be in the green zone before glass is raised.





Special tools 51 0 104 and 51 0 105 can be lowered and raised with the self-locking hoisting winches.

Important!
Windshield and rear window can be lowered with special tool 51 0 104 down to approx. 100 cm only. A storage rest of sufficient height must therefore be put in place beforehand.
